Kiss...

Arms around, eyes closed,
supporting each other, tilting their head to the right,
the lips touches each other,
softly first, then pressing hard,
forcing the tongue between the lips,
sucking the air out of each others mouth,
creating an eternal silence, then comes the sound of kiss - Blop!!!

As the famous saying by Oliver Wendell Holmes goes,
'The sound of a kiss is not so loud as that of a cannon, but its echo lasts a great deal longer'.
My blog is not about kissing or sound of kissing. It's beyond that... What's there in a kiss?

Orbicularis oris. Heard of them? Sounds like a play, isn't it? Well... it's a muscle. Also called kissing muscle, it's the most important muscle involved while kissing. You will be surprised to know that a total of twenty muscles are involved while kissing.

Four letter word that makes everybody in this planet crazy.

My gal asked me why I loved her. I was thinking for couple of weeks. I didn't have a single reason. Was it just an infatuation? She had this sad face and asked me 'you don't love me?' Oops... tears started rolling down her cheeks.

I didn't know what to do. I felt that she is the world to me but didn't know how to express that. All I could do was to put my arms around her shoulder and kiss her in the lips. There was a silence. Then she looked at me in my eyes still tears rolling but with a small smile 'I know you love me'. Wow... did I answer her question?

Only then I realized that kissing is nothing but a language. Everything can be expressed by mouth. Most of them can be explained by talking. But there are things that can not be expressed by words... the only way to express them - KISS.

For the record, the longest recorded kiss took place in New York City, USA, on December 5, 2001, between Louisa Almedovar and Rich Langley. It lasted 30 hours, 59 minutes and 27 seconds.
